EMPOWERING PARENTS

At The Autism Guide, we have experience navigating the regional center system, and supporting a child with developmental differences, particularly autism.  Our Parent Partners, Mentors, and Specialists provide guidance, advocacy, and emotional support to help families connect with resources, and manage their child’s Individualized Program Plan (IPP).

Through our partnership with the Regional Center, we offer two support options for parents of children ages 3-5: personalized one-on-one guidance or a community workshop series. These services are available at no cost for eligible families, but you must contact your Service Coordinator to confirm eligibility for Vendor #PY3549.

  • Individual Parent Support Program

    PARENT SUPPORT STRATEGY MEETING + SUPPORT PLAN

    Perfect for parents who are new to autism, our One-on-One Consultation, Caregiver Welcome Toolkit, and Action Plan is specifically designed for those who have recently received their child’s autism diagnosis. This service offers a personalized consultation and a customized Care Action Plan, ensuring you feel supported from the very beginning. If you’re not yet ready for group workshops, this option provides individual guidance, training, and clear, actionable steps to help you navigate your first year with confidence and clarity.

  • Parent Support Workshop - Starting in May!

    5 WEEK WORKSHOP SERIES & 2 INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS

    Perfect for parents new to autism, our 5-week workshop series offers the support and guidance you need during your first year. The program starts with a one-on-one welcome session and includes bi-weekly Zoom workshops where you'll connect with other caregivers. After the workshop, you'll have another personal strategy session to help reinforce what you've learned and create a care plan.

    The series concludes with an in-person community celebration dinner, where we’ll celebrate your progress and the connections you've made.
